A man named Jhonatan Acosta, age 30, recently shared his incredible story of survival in the Amazon rainforest after getting separated from his hunting group, according to reports from Bolivian media. He resorted to extreme measures to stay alive, and the details of his ordeal are both remarkable and disgusting.

Jhonatan Acosta was stranded in a remote area of the northern Bolivian Amazon and had to resort to desperate measures to survive. He consumed worms and rainwater from his shoes when he was unable to find food or water. However, when his supply of rainwater ran out, he had to resort to drinking his own urine to stay alive. Despite being attacked by animals and sustaining a dislocated ankle early on in his ordeal, he managed to persevere by relying on survival techniques that he had learned beforehand. The challenges he faced were not only limited to food and water but also included defending himself against jaguars and other predators.

After being separated from his friends and enduring a month-long survival ordeal in the Bolivian Amazon, Jhonatan Acosta’s condition had become critical. He had lost an astonishing 37 pounds and could no longer walk. Acosta’s brother reported that he had given up hope of being rescued and thought that no one was searching for him. However, a search party eventually found him when he limped towards them despite being 980 feet away through thorny bushes. His brother described it as a “miracle.” Acosta received medical attention at a hospital and is now receiving ongoing treatment at a health center in the Beni region.
Acosta’s brother revealed that following his brother’s remarkable survival ordeal, he had decided to pursue safer activities such as playing the guitar and religious worship, rather than hunting. He explained that Acosta had promised God that he would play music to praise Him, and he believed that his brother would keep his promise.
